Es un toro con Europa.
En forma de lluvia arropa
a Dánae en la alameda
de sus ensueños de seda.
Pero nada es engaño.
Vestir lino o llevar paño
es normal, pues él es así:
amable allá y duro aquí;
diferente, mas no extraño.
tonight I had the opportunity of talking with someone who has known a close relative of mine for years. I know my relative fairly well, but this person had a starkly different outlook on them, complete with a personality and perception I did not recognise, and even stories I had never heard and could not have imagined happened at the time they were placed, as I remember my relative being someone else with me back then. This duality, even multiplicity, which I do not view as negative or manipulative at all, inspired these verses.
